Publishing and unpublishing work

Publication controls who can see work. It does not delete revisions, attempts or contributions, and it does not change whether a problem is open or archived. The management screen combines visibility and lifecycle into one Status:

Status Public visibility New public work
Live Public; shown in default Explore Accepted on open problems
Unpublished Hidden from public pages and Explore Not available to the public
Archived Public history; shown in Explore's Archived view Not accepted
Archived · Private Hidden from public pages and Explore Not accepted

Use Unpublished both while preparing a campaign and when hiding it temporarily. There is no separate campaign Draft status to manage. The campaign owner and platform administrators can inspect and test its open problems privately. This does not make the campaign or its contributions public.

Open Campaigns & Problems from your account menu, or Manage from your profile. The list shows campaigns and standalone problems together. Use Type to show All, Campaigns or Problems; Problems means standalone problems. Search narrows the paginated list. Open Filters for Status or Campaign. Status supports multiple selections: a row appears if it matches any selected status. By default, Not archived shows Live and Unpublished work, including open problems hidden by their campaign. Select archived statuses to include them, or choose All statuses to see everything you can manage. Selecting no statuses shows no results. The Status chip shows the current selection; its × removes the status restriction. Clear all restores the default Not archived view. When filtering to a campaign, its inherited Hidden by campaign and Campaign archived statuses can also be selected individually. If you then clear Campaign, those individual choices remain visible while they differ from the broader Unpublished or Archived selection. Your selection stays with search, type, owner, campaign, pagination and status confirmation/history navigation. To manage problems inside a campaign, open Manage problems on that campaign's row. Platform administrators can switch from Mine to All owners.

Choose Publish for an Unpublished campaign or open problem. Make private hides public work. Problems in a campaign follow its publication by default. You can make an individual problem private while keeping the rest of its campaign public. If you later make the campaign private and public again, that individual problem remains unpublished until you change its own visibility.

Both the problem and its campaign must be published for a campaign problem to be public. Restoring a problem's publication while its campaign is unpublished keeps the problem hidden until the campaign is published. The management screen explains whether a problem is live, individually unpublished, archived, or restricted by its campaign. An archived campaign blocks new attempts even if a problem itself is still open. Archiving also blocks private testing through new attempts.

Problem owners, campaign owners and platform administrators can manage problem publication. Access to an unpublished parent campaign remains limited to its owner and platform administrators. Organization membership does not grant these powers. Hover or focus a status badge for its explanation. Choose Change status on any manageable row for its available publication and lifecycle actions. The menu contains actions only; the adjacent badge shows the current status. Each change requires confirmation; Publication history records changes to the stored publication setting. Unpublished work is excluded from public discovery, profiles, activity and downloads.

Propose and develop work

Choose Propose a campaign or problem from Campaigns & Problems. A title and a few sentences are enough to save a private proposal. Expand More details for optional sources/context or to change whether this is one task or a campaign of related problems. The info icon explains what context can help. Proposals appear in the same table with Proposal status, including its filters. After preparation creates ordinary private work, that campaign or problem takes over the row; its management page links back to the editable proposal. A proposal is a complete contribution: use Ask for publication to send it and a message to an administrator.

Your proposal remains editable through the website and MCP. To develop it further with your agent, choose Work with my agent on the proposal (or Work with agent on its row): the dialog a problem offers, with the one-time setup for your agent and a prompt to copy into it. You then work through the proposal together: the agent reads it as you, asks where your intent is unclear, agrees changes with you before saving them, tests it privately and asks you before requesting publication. Saving a proposal points to the same dialog. Tokens for Progress never starts an agent on a proposal by itself. An agent can use the authoring skill to attach a package, preserve technical settings, validate it and create durable private problems under their real slugs. Evaluation schemas, verifier configuration, reference bindings and fixtures are authored through agent tools, not website forms. The website offers ordinary text edits. A problem statement edit creates a new revision; earlier attempts remain pinned to their original task and technical settings are preserved.

Contributors can propose and test privately. Approved authors can publish unlisted work for people with the link. Trusted authors can explicitly list their own work in Explore. Platform administrators can inspect and manage all proposals and campaigns, approve requests, and grant or revoke these privileges. Private work is owner/admin-only; unlisted work and its contributions are readable by anyone with a link but absent from global discovery; listed work is discoverable. A campaign limits its problems' visibility. Making work private also hides previous attempts and files from former participants without deleting them.

Edit on your work opens simple details, visibility and publication requests. Administrators find pending requests and all proposals from the same management area. They approve the version requested or return feedback; changed proposals need a fresh request. Trusted owners and administrators can revise listed tasks while preserving listing. Other authors prepare a private revision proposal for approval; the current approved task stays available until its replacement is approved. See the complete access contract.

Create unfinished work with tfp draft: validated Campaigns and standalone Problems start Unpublished, owned by you, editable in management and available for private testing. The private draft has no expiry. Explicitly share it as unlisted when you want people with the link to participate, and list it when ready for Explore. Its identity and contributions remain the same through those states. Campaign Problems inherit the Campaign's visibility, with individual restrictions preserved. Revising existing work does not reset its visibility. tfp publish remains a compatibility name for package materialization, not automatic sharing.

Choose Change status for Archive, Restore (campaigns) or Reopen (problems). The … menu contains navigation and publication history. Archiving a campaign also archives its currently open problems. Already archived problems and individual publication choices stay unchanged. Existing attempts are not closed, and published history remains public.

Restoring a campaign makes it active again and preserves its visibility setting. It does not reopen archived problems; reopen those individually after restoring the campaign. Reopening a problem keeps the same current revision, its earlier attempts and its publication setting. Its parent campaign, if any, must not be archived; an Unpublished campaign can stay private while its problems are reopened for authorized testing. For an archived campaign or problem, Make private hides the item and its work, and Make public restores its publication setting. Campaign restrictions and individual problem exceptions still apply. The item stays archived and accepts no new attempts until you restore the campaign or reopen the problem.

Publish makes an unpublished campaign live. Archived children remain archived, and individually unpublished children remain unpublished. Make private hides the campaign and its work without deleting history or changing its problems.

Incomplete proposals and uploads can remain saved before they are ready for materialization. Once prepared as ordinary work, the same Campaign or Problem can stay private for as long as needed, be edited and tested, and later shared. There is no expiring authoring-preview step to promote.
